Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween! We had a great time scaring (hopefully not scarring for life!) kids tonight at Kim's house! Here I am dressed as a pregnant kitty:
Johnny was a scary scarecrow and he had a blast scaring all the kiddos! One kid thought he was a sensor activated dummy and started trying to activate him, he moved, and she was so scared that she fell and candy went everywhere! After we made sure she was OK her friends were laughing so hard at her they actually fell to the ground as well! It was quite awesome.
Kim's boyfriend Chris got to scare kids with our little Freddy:
The decorations were awesome as usual (Johnny always is so great at Halloween decorating):
Check out how much fog we made!!

A good time was had by all!!

Can't wait until next year when we can take Jorge trick-or-treating!!!!

Love my sisters!

Words to live by:

cause you're happier when your happy, you're happier when you're happy so wag more....bark less!

Found the tin man!

Driving along we randomly saw the tin man on someone's front porch! So of course we pulled over and took pics with him!

This was the best I could do for a 27 week pic

OK a belly pic with a giant hockey jersey is not ideal but it was the best I could do. Was sick that weekend and not really up to a photo shoot so instead took a quick pic at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pens vs. the Hershey Bears game on Sat. The Pens won and it was a good time. Gotta love hockey!

We also went to a book signing of one of my favorite bloggers, Jen Yates of cakewrecks.com. It was a great time!!

26 weeks

Here are some belly pics at 26 weeks:

The baby has definitely grown and made my belly bigger!
According to some websites this week begins the third trimester. --------------------------------------------------->
Feels like time is flying yet going super slow at the same time!
We also bought the paint for his room. For his farm we (OK really Johnny) are going to paint rolling hills in grass green and blue skies. I ordered the cutest farm animal stencils online and will be stenciling his farm hopefully this week! His room is going to be the greatest room ever!!! I can't wait!

Also, Mom-in-law just ordered the crib so we should be getting that this week as well, YAY!!! Thank you Mom-in-law!!! The baby will be very happy sleeping in his new natural wood colored crib!!!

Week 2 of birth class complete and only 6 more weeks of online school!

I have been one busy momma-to-be lately! We are in a four week birth preparation class, we are halfway done with that. So far not sure if anything is going to be very helpful, we will see. We met a nice couple at class today that could be potential friends. We learned about the wonders of tennis ball massage techniques and learned about breathing.....
I am hoping to skip all the fluff and go straight to the epidural!

I am in my last and final class for my MBA! I cannot wait, 6 weeks and it is all over!! Yahoo!!!! Hoping this last class will go quickly and then we will celebrate my graduation with a second annual "best Thanksgiving ever" at our house.

Work has also been exceptionally busy this last week, I really am looking forward to a nice weekend! Johnny says he will be painting Jorge's room this weekend and then we can hang his newly painted cow print name letters and a couple other cute wall hangings. Here are some of the letters:

Because we are not telling his name publicly yet Johnny did a little word scramble and came up with (according to Napoleon Dynamite) the greatest animal ever!

After the painting is completed then...new carpet! Sucks to have to buy new carpet for a rental house but our beagle has destroyed the carpet and we have really no choice. Anyone want a beagle who will destroy your house, run away, cause you worry, cost you lots of money on fencing, invisible fencing, new carpet, and then snuggle up to you like he did nothing wrong? Oh did I mention he may just be the cutest dog I have ever seen...and yes that is the only reason he is still living in his happy home!

a little progress...

Today was quite productive! I got Jorge's name letters painted cow print (they look so cute!!) and we picked out a carpet that will replace the really gross one in his room now. I think I can see the room in my mind coming together nicely!

Barefoot and pregnant

Seriously....I just took off my shoes and socks.

moving along...

Had a good doc appointment today, I got to see the midwife I like instead of the doc. All is well and next appointment I get to have a glucose tolerance test and tour the labor and delivery area of the hospital. After the appointment I picked up a box of baby clothes from Freecycle. Almost everything is cute and in good shape! There is one REALLY dorky looking sailor suit that will be going to Goodwill. Johnny said we should keep it and dress Jorge up as the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man!

Registering...

Yesterday my friend Shannon volunteered to help me with the registry. Thank God she was there because instead of it being a stressful experience just wandering around the store it was actually fun! Having two beautiful girls herself, Shannon knew exactly what I needed and laughed at some of the stuff that I thought we needed! We ate Chinese food for lunch and what an appropriate fortune I got:

Then when all the registering was finished I was sent home with a bag of baby swag!

Today Johnny and I returned to the store so he could see all the goodies. He loved everything and we added a couple more things. We also bought a comfy swiveling rocking chair for the late nights rocking our little man to sleep!
Good times!
