2 months old

As old March 19th Gabriel is two months old! He went to the doctors and was declared healthy and thriving. He got his two month shots and was fussy that night, and was sleepy the next day (today). We went on our second playdate, this time with Janet and Eli(3 months old) , and Bethany and Max (3 weeks old). Gabriel slept almost the entire time and is probably thinking "what is this playdate you speak of?" "Who are Eli and Max?" It was great chatting with other mommas and we had a nice time. His hair is getting so long that its starting to lay more instead of sticking straight up, we may have to break out the mousse or gel to style it now (ha!) He even has a bit of a mullett (true Pittsburgher!). He has gone on more adventures with me including the Philly flower show (not so much fun--too crowded with an infant and way to many baby touchers) and out shopping. He is quite the trooper and hardly ever complains. Noise doesn't phase him at all...home or out and about. I even changed him on the front seat of my car...dare I say I am starting to get the hang of this mommy thing? But just when you start getting it figured out its onto a new stage of development and new situations...learning as we go! here is his two months photo:

First playdate!

Gabriel had his very first playdate with his new buddy Eli! Eli is exactly one month older than Gabriel and is quite the cutie! I met his mom Janet in baby class and we hit it off. We took the boys out to lunch and I tried indian food for the first time. It was interesting...I didn't hate it but I didn't really like it either. Now I smell like indian food. I guess its the lunch that keeps on giving...

Private

I made the blog private...so if you are reading this you are part of an exclusive VIR group (Very Important Reader...Ha!) Anywho, I am so glad that you care about Gabriel and our family and will keep updating on our little guys progress. He is doing so well, we just love him! Being a mom is great but it is exhausting. I am still off of work on maternity leave but still have been really busy. I have been working on getting all the doc appts that I have been neglecting out of the way. With my job (the schedule is so erratic that making appts is IMPOSSIBLE) and the pregnancy I really neglected myself and am playing catch up. Getting tons of dental work done, getting my migraines back under control, and had to have a surgery. But I am recovering well when I go back to work I should be a brand new woman! We found a great daycare that I have confidence in. We found it, toured it, and then when talking about it talked to someone that personally recommended it. I think it will be good. I don't know if I could handle staying home all the time (although that is not an option financially) because at times I am going CRAZY.

Anyway...loving being a new mom and Gabriel is doing great!

after bath cuteness

he's a thumbsucker...

Gabriel is starting to sleep through the night sometimes...he has been sleeping from 12-6 for a few nights. He has been smiling and laughing a lot more often...it is so funny and so friggin cute! Yesterday he was crying (laying in his crib in his room) and I came into the room and said "Gabriel" and he stopped. He knew I was coming in to solve his problem! It was great!

New blog

As I was laying in bed not being able to sleep inspiration struck. I had to get out of bed immediately and write down my thoughts! So...I have started a new blog here called Why my pet hates me. It will be featuring my pet photos from the years and hopefully turn into a well followed blog with users sending in their pet photos. I have a dream....

Milestones

In the past few days he gave us his first real smiles (love that big toothless grin!) and yesterday he giggled for the first time! Cutest. Moment. Ever.
