Playing catch up

Well it has certainly been awhile since I have signed in. Finishing school was of course a huge accomplishment. Immediately after we stenciled farm animals in the baby's room for five days straight. It turned out better than imagined! Here are a few pics of his room, there are much more!! We really worked hard to create a fun, detailed farm and had a good time painting! We even made sure that all three kitties were painted into the room. Here is Shirley:

and Milly:
The blank green space is where a dresser will go

Then it was time for Thanksgiving with both sets of parents. There were a few hiccups in the weekend but overall a good time was had by all. Here are the "Pittsburgh Ninjas" in matching Pittsburgh shirts and black leggings:
too bad we were all pretty limited in our ninja skills and had to hold on to the walls and chairs to perform our ninja moves!
Here is me and the grandmas:
This shows the 32 week belly pretty well, no official pic this week:
Of course wearing my favorite maternity shirt!
Check out these sexy ninja feet!!
We took the parents to a place to have a 3D ultrasound and discovered that the baby looks just like his daddy! He seriously has Johnny's exact lips and maybe his nose as well! At one point he was sleeping just like Johnny and his Mom do with his hands up by his cute little face! The ultrasound clearly showed adorable chubby cheeks and confirmed for the third time that his is a boy. When the tech pointed out his hair my mom decided that he probably will be born with a mullet. Janet, my friend from baby class, said "what else you would expect, he is from Pittsburgh!" Oh Janet, how true your words are! I wonder if he will be born with acid washed jeans and high tops on as well! I can picture our little yinzer driving an Iroc with his mullet blowing in the breeze....we are already such proud parents! We got to go back to the ultrasound place today and get a free redo because the tech said she was unable to get very good shots the first time. Today we were able to see him again and we enjoyed every minute of it. The computer generated 3D images are a bit creepy but once you get your bearings and figure out what you are looking at they do become cute.
Johnny's lips!
Sticking his cute little tongue out!

Here are a few more 3d ultrasound pics!!
We still have quite a bit left on the baby "to do" list but things are coming along. Johnny put together the crib and probably will paint the dresser/changing table this week.
Today we went to dinner with Janet and Dave from baby class and it was a really good time! I am getting so jealous, she is going to deliver in a couple short weeks! I still have several weeks to go AND have to wait until next year! Janet and I took some prego pics together. She is 36 weeks and I am now 33 weeks. We are carrying our little guys differently but are both very excited!
Belly to belly!
We are just like pregnant models!
I discovered today that really pregnant women do not fit in booths at restaurants. We ate lunch at a diner today and I had trouble with the booth there as well. Looks like I am getting a table for the rest of this pregnancy. Does not sound like a huge deal but I am such a booth girl! Small sacrifices.....I think I will live. Over the past week I have been getting significantly larger and been having increasing trouble getting up, moving around, turning over, and now having trouble with my shoes. Johnny actually had to help me put on my boots today...
The baby is still kicking the heck out my innards and oftentimes he makes me jump because he kicks so hard! I have no lung capacity anymore and now feel short of breath all the time. Johnny keeps telling me that I am a loud heavy breather now! The baby has also claimed nearly all the space formerly available to my stomach and all the space formerly belonging to my bladder. I can't wait to get these organs back to their full function again. Who ever stops to appreciate their innards? Well after this whole pregnancy thing it will be THIS GIRL! Oh full capacity bladder, oh how I miss you! Looking forward to the future and impatiently dealing with the home stretch!
